Product Maintenance

• Combine baking soda and water in a bowl (the 2-to-1 ratio will maintain the toothpaste-like consistency you need)
• Dip toothbrush into the mixture
• Scrub jewelry with toothbrush + mixture
• Rinse jewelry with warm water
• Use soft towel to remove excess water
• Let the jewelry sit for a few minutes to completely dry before putting it away
• Use the enclosed towel for periodic polishing
• Please do not swim or bathe while wearing, or leave products in water for excessive periods

• Always store wood items in an air-tight bag to avoid dust and moisture. You can risk damage to your wood items with long exposure to water.
• Use a non-abrasive microfiber cloth to wipe down the surface of your wood items daily to avoid dust and dirt buildup.
• Use a wood polishing cloth with natural wood polish on the surface of your wood item. You should only need to polish once a month or as needed. 
• Please do not swim or bathe while wearing, or leave products in water for excessive periods

• Wash with warm soapy water and then allow to air dry

For painted wood signs, you can use a mild dish soap and water solution to gently wipe down the surface with a microfiber cloth. Make sure to wring out the cloth well so it is not dripping wet. You can also use an oil soap instead of dish soap for extra shine and protection. To clean your painted wood signs effectively, follow these steps:

• Dust off your sign with a dry microfiber cloth or a feather duster to remove any loose dirt or debris.
• Mix a few drops of dish soap or oil soap with warm water in a bucket or spray bottle.
• Spray or dip a microfiber cloth in the solution and wring it out until it is damp but not wet.
• Wipe down your sign with the cloth in gentle circular motions. Avoid rubbing too hard or using abrasive materials that can scratch or damage the paint.
• Rinse the cloth with clean water and repeat until you have cleaned the entire sign.
• Dry your sign with a soft towel or let it air dry completely before hanging it back up.

For stained wood signs, you can use a wood cleaner or polish to restore the color and luster of the wood. Apply the cleaner or polish with a soft cloth and buff it in circular motions. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions for how often to apply the product. To clean your stained wood signs effectively, follow these steps:

• Dust off your sign with a dry microfiber cloth or a feather duster to remove any loose dirt or debris.
• Choose a wood cleaner or polish that matches the color and finish of your sign. Read the label carefully and follow the directions for how much product to use and how long to let it sit on the wood.
• Apply a small amount of cleaner or polish on a soft cloth and rub it on your sign in circular motions. Work in small sections and overlap slightly for even coverage.
• Wipe off any excess cleaner or polish with a clean cloth before it dries on the wood.
• Repeat until you have cleaned the entire sign.

Preserving your wood signs means keeping them in good condition and preventing them from deteriorating over time. There are some simple steps you can take to preserve your signs and enjoy them for years to come.

• Store your wood signs in a cool, dry place when not in use. Avoid exposing them to extreme temperatures or humidity levels that can cause them to warp or crack. For example, you can store them in a closet, a basement, a garage, or a shed. Wrap them in plastic or cloth to protect them from dust and moisture.
• Avoid placing your wood signs near heat sources such as fireplaces, radiators, stoves, or candles that can dry out or scorch the wood. Heat can also cause the paint or stain to fade or peel off. If you want to display your sign near a heat source, make sure there is enough distance and ventilation between them.
• Avoid placing your wood signs in direct sunlight for long periods of time that can fade or bleach the color of the paint or stain. Sunlight can also cause the wood to dry out and crack. If you want to display your sign in a sunny spot, make sure it is shaded by a curtain, a canopy, or an awning.
• Clean your wood signs regularly with a soft cloth or a feather duster to remove dust and dirt that can scratch or dull the surface. You can also use a mild soap and water solution or a wood cleaner and polish to wipe down your sign occasionally. Make sure to dry it well after cleaning it.
• Repair any minor damage such as chips, cracks, peeling paint, or loose hardware as soon as possible with some glue, filler, sandpaper, paint touch-up kit, or new hardware. This will prevent the damage from getting worse and affecting the appearance and function of your sign.

• Once a month, deep clean it with a cleaner suitable for vegan products or a mild laundry detergent. Use a soft silk or cotton cloth and gently apply the mild detergent and water solution all over the leather, no matter what color your products are. 
• Do not apply anything wet to the hardware.

• Because they’re somewhat fragile, slate charcuterie boards and coasters require gentle handling, but they’re easy to clean. Simply wash slate boards with a soft sponge or cloth and mild dish soap in the hottest water you can stand.
  
• If you haven’t applied cork feet to the bottom of your Cheese Grotto circular slate, you can put it in the dishwasher. Allow slate serving boards to air dry completely before storing them or applying mineral oil.
  

•  Before you apply any oils or waxes to your board, make sure it’s clean. Hand wash it with soap and water and allow to air dry or wipe dry.
• Using a soft, lint-free cloth (e.g. a microfiber towel, an old tshirt), dip into the oil and apply or pour a small amount onto the surface and buff the oil into the wood. Continue to apply and buff in until the wood is no longer absorbing the product. Wipe off excess.
• If you would like, you can also finish the wood with a wax product for added protection. There are also mixed oil-wax products, that streamlines the two steps. Apply the wax in a similar fashion, wipe off excess, and allow the board to dry.

* There’s a huge debate about whether certain kinds of oils are appropriate for seasoning your boards. Different people have different preferences, but some of the options people go for include walnut oil, hemp oil, tung oil, flaxseed oil, and food grade mineral oil. Our recommendation is to go for food grade (USP) mineral oil because it is safe if ingested in small quantities.  With plant-based oils, rancidity is always a concern, especially for olive oils and vegetable oils.

 CANDLE 

• Always burn your soy candle within site, away from children and pets and away from anything that can catch fire, avoid drafty areas.
• Always trim your wick to 1/4″ each time before lighting it – and we really mean each time!  This prevents the wick from burning with a larger flame which can cause smoke or soot on the glass or can lead to debris in your candle that could flame.
• Never leave the cut wick or any debris in your candle – this will allow your wax to be free of debris as mentioned above.
• Always burn on a suitable surface and protect the surface under your candle
• Stop burning your candle when only 1/2″ of wax remains.  If you choose to continue to burn a low wax candle the heat will transfer to the glass instead of the wax which can cause issue.
• Don’t burn your candle for more than four hours at a time. This is a really important one! When you burn it for too long, the wax becomes fully liquid and causes movement of the wick.
• The first time you burn your candle, burn it long enough for the melted wax to reach all the way to the edge of your jar.  Not doing so, could create a “tunnel” which makes it difficult to stay lit in the future.

MELTS

• If using a tea light warmer, check to make sure the tealight candle flame has not put itself out. You may need to replace it before the wax melt has melted completely.
• If leaving your home before a wax melt has run its course, you can turn off the warmer or extinguish the candle and allow the wax to re-harden for use another time.
  

• Use Cold Water
  Despite seeming softer and gentler, warm water actually begins to tear down the fibers of clothing as it warms. When washing clothes, begin with cold water. Therefore, avoid using a dryer to dry your sublimation-printed clothing.
  Instead, let them air dry by hanging them outside on a clothesline. They can stay fresh as long as they are exposed to cold water and moderate sun.
  If there are spills or other stains on the clothing you are sublimating, wash it first with stain remover before placing it in the washing machine.
   
• Employ Moderate Detergent Levels
  When washing your sublimation clothing, make sure to use a little too much detergent.
  It may be more difficult to make your design appear clean and fresh if you overfill your washer with detergent. This residue can clog your ink.
  One generous tablespoon of detergent powder is the suggested amount. two liquid tablespoons. Use an additional half-ounce to boost cleaning effectiveness. 

• Never use bleach or fabric softener
  When washing clothing that has been colored, be sure not to add any bleach or fabric softener to the fabric. Fabric softeners stop the clothing from drying correctly, and bleach can harm colors. White ink may also become discolored as a result.
  For optimal results, pick a mild soap without optical brighteners. Instead of soap, try vinegar to get rid of soap residue.  Natural whitener vinegar removes filth from clothing after it has been soaked in vinegar water.  Consider soaking soiled clothing in vinegar for a few hours to get rid of those hard-to-remove stains if you haven't been able to remove stains that aren't easily removed, like oil paints (it is also great for dry stained clothes).
  After using vinegar, be careful not to let your newly purchased clothes come into contact with any soap residue left behind because this could lead to damage like color leaking over time.
   
• Hang dry after rinsing.
  Not putting your sublimated clothing in the dryer is one of the most important things to remember when washing it.  All you need to do is wash your garment and hang it up right away because the heat and agitation that come with drying might harm the appearance of your garment.  All you have to do is hand wash your clothing (or use a machine with gentle cycles) and let them air dry entirely before putting them on. 

• Iron Your Shirt While It's Still Slightly Wet
  It's advised to dry iron your item while it's still damp because heat fades colors. The iron's steam will assist set the pattern and get rid of any wrinkles that might have developed while washing. 

•  Hand Wash: It is best to hand wash your sublimation tumbler to maintain its quality. You can use mild dish soap and warm water to clean the tumbler.
• Do Not Soak: To prevent water from getting in between the design and the tumbler, do not soak your tumbler in water.
• Avoid Abrasives: When washing the tumbler, avoid using abrasive sponges or brushes that can scratch or damage the designs.
• Dry Immediately: After cleaning the tumbler, make sure to dry it immediately with a clean towel or air dryer.
